Founded in 1987, Alimatic began as a trading company, but it’s become a manufacturer of equipment and installations of its own design for the handling of raw materials at industrial plants for the transformation of plastics. With the endorsement of over 500 facilities set up around the world, Alimatic is a leading engineering company that’s set to once again attend Equiplast as a Global Partner.
What are the main features of Alimatic?
ALIMATIC works under a concept of engineering geared towards the resolving of specific problems that includes the reception of plastic and chemical materials, storage silos, pneumatic transport, volumetric and gravimetric dosing systems, dryers and dehumidifiers and the feeding of all kinds of machines that transform plastics.
Alimatic has developed its own international operations by means of the opening of small subsidiaries whose aim is to provide technical and commercial support. The development and engineering of the projects, in other words, all the business knowledge, are always led and designed by Alimatic España.
We’re currently living in times of great uncertainty. How is Alimatic coping with this?
We’ve witnessed constant changes since the onset of the pandemic. Alimatic has adapted to all of them by looking into the past and generating a forward-looking approach to become more resilient.
Given your experience, what’s your view of the industry in domestic and international terms?
Plastic remains and will continue to remain an essential material in our society, particularly in the areas of health, food and mobility, in the direction it’s evolving in.
We have to improve and rationalise its use and encourage education on the subject of recycling.
What are Alimatic’s current goals with regard to the future?
Alimatic’s chief objective is to meet its customers’ needs, leading us to become a more digital, circular and sustainable Alimatic.
What innovations do you plan to showcase at the fair?
We’ll present a digital solution providing full traceability of the materials used in the production process. These may be batch data (capture date, field data, etc.), manufacturing order data and other operational information, such as the percentage of virgin or recycled material introduced into the finished product.
In addition to all the information provided, we can also supply more to justify compliance with the new special tax on non-reusable plastic packaging.
Finally, what do you hope to achieve by attending Equiplast 2023?
Our aim is to exchange opinions with our current and potential future customers so as to continue improving the solutions we bring to the market.
